Legal Hand Call in Center

● Build relationships and partnerships with local community organizations, local officials and legal aid agencies; In partnership with Legal hand, Inc., CCJ will establish the Legal Hand virtual call center for Albany and Schenectady counties in January 2022. A successful call centre manager manages the trained volunteers from the community who occupy the centre at home. Volunteers are not lawyers. They provide free legal information, support and recommendations to help people solve problems that affect their lives in areas such as employment, housing, family, immigration, domestic violence and social benefits, and prevent problems from becoming legal affairs. All are welcomed and treated with respect. There are no eligibility criteria and everyone is covered, regardless of income, immigration status and place of residence. No appointment is necessary. In addition to weekday hours, Legal Hand Centers are open in the evening and on weekends in the morning. ● Review cases that should be referred to the centre`s prosecutor for legal representation by legal advisory organizations or bar associations, and establish policies and procedures for legal referrals; The CJC is an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of equal employment.

Under federal law, all hires must verify their identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete an employment eligibility verification form. Legal hand, Inc. is a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. ● Ongoing outreach of new volunteers and visitors; ● Maintain data collection, registration and reporting policies and procedures using Legal Hand Inc.`s registration systems, Zendesk and Zingtree platforms. Remuneration: Competitive salary from middle to high 40 – depending on experience. Excellent set of services. Legal Hand is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, with one hour in the evening and Saturday morning. CCJ is looking for a Legal Hand Call Center Manager. Reporting to the Executive Director of the CCJ, the Centre Manager is responsible for the management of the Legal Hand Call Centre, including the recruitment, training and management of Legal Hand Call Centre volunteers, as well as contacting the communities of Schenectady and Albany, maintaining call centre technology, Call centre records and reports. Location: The Legal Call Center Director will be a combination of remote and in-person work at CCJ`s office in Schenectady, NY ● The ideal candidate has a bachelor`s degree and at least 2 years of experience in a related field.
