I first saw Boston Legal, and then later for a rerun that I started with the final season of The Practice. You get the story of how the 2 main characters of Boston Legal met, but it`s not critical. Useful yes, vital no. In season 8, Donnell, Young, Dole and Frutt were renamed Young, Frutt and Berluti. Eugene took Bobby`s place as a senior partner. Lucy left the company to become a full-time rape counselor. Rebecca also left the company for unknown reasons. Helen is no longer present in the law firm`s files. Tara Wilson is hired as a paralegal and Alan Shore becomes a partner. After firing Alan and Tara – and being pursued by the former – Young, Frutt and Berluti dissolve.

In my opinion, the costumes are better because the twists and turns of the series are great and the characters are brilliant. I faithfully watched The Practice from the second to the last season, but it wasn`t until the arrival of Alan Shore (James Spader) that I was totally in love with the show.
