Kevin F. Burke, SJ, is vice president of academic mission at Regis and professor of theology at Regis College. Father Burke first came to Regis shortly after his ordination and served as the campus` assistant pastor (1988-1992). He was involved in the Regis Service-Learning Office in the early years and co-founded Romero House. Dr. Wilcots joined the Regis community in 2017 after serving as Associate Dean of the Department of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Dean of the DU-Iliff Joint Doctoral Program in the Study of Religion, and Associate Provost for Graduate Studies at the University of Denver. She holds a Ph.D. Aceves, Ed.D., has been appointed Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Professor of Accounting at Regis University. In May 2015, he was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to this appointment, he was Associate Vice President for Academics, Financial Planning and Analysis in the Office of the Provost at Fordham University. He was an associate professor of accounting at the Gabelli School of Business. Aceves received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Doctorate in Education with a concentration in Global Business from USF. He also holds a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University. He began his career as an accountant at Price Waterhouse and spent six years as a tax director at Citibank. An accomplished higher education professional with over 20 years of experience and a proven track record in strategic enrollment planning and global engagement, Kumar brings another eight years of leadership experience in human resources, corporate finance, and management information systems. Regis alumnus Kelly Purdy returned to her alma mater in June 2022 to lead the university grants. She is a lifelong fundraising professional with experience across the spectrum of philanthropy. She has a passion for combining generosity with impact to create strong communities and vibrant institutions.
Previously, she was Senior National Director of Philanthropy and Endowments at Boys and Girls Clubs of America, where she oversaw institutional fundraising, key giving, and planned giving. Prior to joining BGCA, Kelly was Vice President of Engaged Philanthropy at the Denver Foundation, where she led the fundraising and donor services that helped the institution reach nearly $1,000 in total assets managed by nearly 1,000 donor-advised scholarship and endowment funds. Kelly also served as Vice President of Development and Communications for the Global Greengrants Fund, a Boulder-based international nonprofit that works at the intersection of human rights and the environment. Dr. Senthil Kumar joined Regis in 2022 as Vice President of Strategic Enrollment Management, overseeing traditional, adult, college and online recruitment, admissions and financial support. “I was looking for career opportunities at Regis because I wanted to serve at a faith-based institution that is committed to social justice and developing in students the tools and determination to make a positive difference in the world. Having held leadership positions in academic affairs and served graduate students, professionals and undergraduates, my current role as Vice President of Student Affairs allows me to support the academic and civic education of all Regis students. An integral aspect of civics education is to encourage students not only to confront the social justice issues of our time, but also to challenge their own perceptions – by seeking out magicians, becoming the truest version of their best, and serving others for the benefit of the world we live in. He began his career in enrollment management at his alma mater, Oklahoma City University, where he earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Business from the Meinders School of Business. Kumar earned a PhD in Business Administration in QSM with specialization in Health Systems and the Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt from the National Graduate School of Quality Management, now known as NGS at Cambridge College Global. After Tertien and PhD (1992-1997), he moved to the Weston Jesuit School of Theology, Cambridge, MA (1997-2006) as Adjunct/Associate Professor of Basic and Systematic Theology.
In 2006, he became Dean of the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, CA (2006-12) and Acting President (2008-09). He returned to the faculty of JST-SCU and was director of the doctoral program from 2012 to 2017. As a member of Regis University`s Board of Trustees (2011-2017), Burke resigned from that position to become Vice President of Mission. In this role, he seeks to promote the future of Jesuit Catholic mission in Regis and to extend our sense of mission to our sister schools at AJCU. Author or editor of seven books, including The Ground beneath the Cross: The Theology of Ignacio Ellacuría (Georgetown, 2000), Pedro Arrupe: Essential Writings (Orbis, 2004), and The Ignatian Tradition (Liturgical Press, 2006), he is currently writing a book on the theological vision of poet Denise Levertov. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the journal Theological Studies, a member of the Board of Directors of the Catholic Theological Society of America, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of San Francisco. Ms. Teets became Interim President of Regis University on January 1, 2022. Prior to joining Regis, she was Vice President of McDonald`s Corporation. Regis graduate teaches at the business school and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2013. She is a board member of the Colorado Planned Giving Roundtable, where she chairs the DEI Working Group, and also supports the Program Committee of the Institute of Leaders in Development. Kelly`s commitment to a career in social justice services began as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ukraine, where she met her husband.
